This
paradise estate placed in Las Catifas, in the Haza del Panizo, a farmed
area since the Moorish period. It is located at an altitude of
1,500 m, in the municipal area of Güejar Sierra, in the Genil river
valley and in the centre of the Sierra Nevada National Park, at just 8
minutes from the ski resort and 25 minutes from
Granada.
It has a priviledged position thanks to its climatology, its
beautiful landscapes and richness in flora and fauna (a wide range of
medicinal and aromatic plants, as well as centenary trees, where you
can rest under their branches. In short, a place full of calm and relax.In this area, the duke of San Pedro y Galatino (builder of the well-known Alhambra Palace hotel and the Hotel del Duque, currently Granada´s diocese seminary, and promoter of the Sierra Nevada road and its old local train) found a peacefu place to rest where he used to invite many noble people to.
You
will relax here after an exhausting skiing or trekking day in one of
the most beautiful place in Sierra Nevada, a path called the Estrella,
an area where the Genil river begins its way. Moreover, you can
practice some sports, such as horse-riding, canoeing in the Quentar
marsh, mountain biking, etc...And in the summertime, you can enjoy the organic products we cultivate. You will discover the genuine flavor of our garden. As a complement, you can swim in our swimming pool, whose water comes from the Sierra Nevada´s sources.
